How the tests work
The 7 tests use 3 methods.
4 read DNA methylation: TruAge, GrimAge, Harley Street Longevity Club's test and Muhdo's kit. Methylation is a set of chemical marks on DNA that change over a lifetime. The lab measures them in blood or saliva and a formula turns the pattern into an age. The makers call this an epigenetic clock.
GlycanAge is the one test that reads IgG glycans, the sugar structures on antibodies in the blood.
The other 2 start from ordinary blood markers, the kind a routine blood test measures, and run them through a model. Humanity Biological Age reports the next day. StrideBioage is part of Stride's membership.

What the makers say about accuracy
None of the makers cites an independent assessment of its test. Each maker's own claim is below, with what its page offers to back it.
- GlycanAge states a precision of “±1 year”, backed by its own dataset of over 300,000 samples. No study is named.
- Lola Health, which sells TruAge, says its clocks are “based on peer-reviewed research”. No study is named.
- MyAgingTests, which sells GrimAge, states “1-2 yrs Test Precision” and “800+ peer-reviewed publications”. None is named.
- Harley Street Longevity Club says its tests are the first built on women's data alone and men's data alone. Nothing is cited.
- Humanity Biological Age names its training data: 306,000 people in UK Biobank. No study is linked.
- Muhdo names a published paper, Collins, Brown and Chung in the journal DNA, 2025, and gives a correlation of about 0.80.
- Stride says its algorithm is “scientifically validated”. Nothing is named.
The full claims are on each test's page.

What they cost
The 6 tests with a price run from £149 to £375. The GrimAge kit is billed in US dollars, $349. Stride's test is not sold alone.
A repeat test costs the same as the first. TruAge takes 5% to 10% off on a delivery plan. Harley Street Longevity Club sells retests inside a membership, priced on request. Each test's page has the figures.

Free calculators and the NHS
A free biological age calculator is a questionnaire, with nothing sent to a lab, so it is a different product from the tests above.
The NHS Health Check is “a free check-up of the health of your heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular health)” for people aged 40 to 74, offered every 5 years.
